Sony Xperia Z Ultra Release Date, Update: Flagship Device To Be Launched Sept. 13 In U.K., Specs Of Gadget Include 6.4in Screen, 4G LTE

Sony Xperia Z Ultra release date is expected to be on September 13 in the United Kingdom. This is also supposed to be the shipping date for the LTE version of the device. U.S. carriers, however, are still waiting for confirmed release and shipping dates for the new Sony phone.

According to Crossmap, Sony Xperia Z Ultra will have a 6.4in screen which will be one of the largest in the market. It will also allow for 4G LTE connection that rivals the speeds of a majority of current connections. The device will have a resolution of 1920x1080 like that of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and weigh 7.4 ounces.

Crossmap reports that the device will have a quad-core processor that runs on 2.2GHz. It will have 16GB built-in storage and a microSD slot. The RAM is of 2GB. The camera on the device will have 8-megapixels for photos and allows for video recording as well at 1080p.

Apart from the Z Ultra, Crossmap states that Sony’s Xperia Z1 (formerly Honami) has also generated a lot of interest. The device has a TFT screen of 5.0in with 1080 by 1980 pixels.

NDTV stated that it will have the same TRILUMINOS display found on the Z Ultra and will operate on Android OS Jelly Bean 4.2.2. The 2.2GHz it runs on will come from a Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 processor.

Crossmap also states that the Z1 will be available with a Sony G lens and BIONZ. The camera will be of 20 megapixels. It will go on sale across the globe in September as well.

Sony Xperia Z Ultra release date confirmed for Sept. 2013 in UK while US still unknown.
