Downton Abbey Season 4 Spoilers: Major Departures Unlikely This Year According To Michelle Dockery, Mary To Encounter 3 Suitors

"Downton Abbey" is set to return September 22 for season 4, and Michelle Dockery aka Lady Mary believes the show should stay away from more departures this season.

"It has to remain as the ensemble, otherwise I don't think we can keep going," says Michelle Dockery regarding the "Downton Abbey" departures in season 3.

"The core reason for the show's success is that it's a huge ensemble of such great characters. It was [one thing to lose] Sybil and Matthew. But any more of that, I think it will start to falter."

Is this a potential spoiler regarding "Downton Abbey" season 4? Certainly, if spoilers indicate that the core cast will not change this season, fans would definitely not complain.

And what is in store for Michelle Dockery's on-screen counterpart, Lady Mary Crawley?

"Downton Abbey" season 4, according to the Mirror, will have several men in Mary's life who will affect her recovery from the loss of Matthew.

According to spoilers, season 4 will introduce a Lord Gillingham, played by Tom Cullen, as a potential love interest.

"Mary is not looking for anyone to replace Matthew, but she is, of course, a beautiful, eligible young widow, so inevitably there is going to be quite a lot of male interest," says "Downton Abbey" executive producer Gareth Neame.

"Gillingham is a very useful friend to Mary at a time when she's not able to make decisions."

In addition, "Downton Abbey" season 4 will also introduce jazz singer Jack Ross played by Gary Carr, who will encounter Mary in episode 3. Charles Blake, played by Julian Ovenden, will also bump heads with Mary as he attempts to help Downton run more efficiently.
