Upcoming Android Phones 2013: Asus To Launch New-Gen PadFone Infinity On September 17

While Asus is well-known as a PC manufacturer, it has been dipping its toes in the smartphone and tablet niches in the past couple of years. And this year, it will follow up on its PadFone and unveil a new generation smartphone-tablet hybrid. 

The Taiwanese manufacturer is set to unveil the device, dubbed as PadFone Infinity on Sept. 17 in Taipei, Taiwan. And in case you haven't heard yet, Asus CEO Jerry Shen himself will be the one to take the wraps off their newest smartphone. 

For the past several months, rumor has it that the Infinity will feature similar specifications to its predecessor. According to its official Asus page, the smartphone will sport a 5" full HD display for the phone, and a 10.1" full HD display for the tablet. 

The smartphone also has a unibody design made out of aluminum alloy. Under its hood will be a 1.7 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quadcore processor. 

The primary camera is also pretty decent with its 13 megapixels, f/2.0 aperture, and burst mode at 8fps. 

The phone will have a 32GB internal memory while the tablet dock will have 50GB. It also supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC and LTE. 

Lastly, it runs on 2,400mAh battery and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean under its hood.
