Drunken Tiger's "The Cure" MV Review: Yay or Nay?

Thank you Drunken Tiger for reminding us what great music sounds like. It's been three years since the group has released anything but Tiger JK, Yoon Mi Rae, and MC Bizzy got together for their comeback mini album called "The Cure." The title track is a homage to Tiger JK's father, music journalist Seo Byung Hoo.

Artistically, it's a stand-out video. The video's concept is an out-of-the-box one we haven't seen anyone in K-pop ever do. The entire color theme of the video is kind of this beautiful grey-ish hue that goes along perfectly with the down-to-earth feel of the song. The single itself reminds us that Drunken Tiger has been gone far too long. Yoon Mi Rae's vocals have always and will always be the kind of sound that no one can ever replicate or come near. There's nobody in K-pop with her kind of swagger, demeanor, grace, talent and unique beauty. The King of Korean hip-hop, Tiger JK, carries himself in a way that no new hip-hop artist in the came can ever again possess. His veteran and OG ways have paved the way for what good hip-hop is in K-pop and there still isn't an artist who comes close to his presence and style. Mixed in with MC Bizzy's flow, the three talented and respected performers bring it altogether in this kick-back and life-is-good tune.

And who doesn't love Yoon Mi Rae and Tiger Jks' baby, Jordan, giggling at the end? Fun fact: YouTube star David Choi is behind the acoustic chords in the song.

Oh, and just as a throwback, let's take you to a time where hip-hop was real and alive!
