50 Shades Of Grey Movie Cast: Ian Somerhalder Says He's Cool With Charlie Hunnam Landing Role Of Christian Grey Rather Than Himself

50 shades of Grey movie cast: Ian Somerhalder comments on the rumors of his disapproval of not playing the part of Christian Grey, which was handed to Charlie Hunnam on Labor Day.

The star of "The Vampire Diaries" wanted the part of Grey in the 50 Shades of Grey movie cast for the film adaptation of the best-seller book. When Ian Somerhalder didn't get the part after author E.L. James announced it on Twitter, reports came out that he was upset and angered that he wasn't given this opportunity.

The 50 Shades of Grey movie cast will feature the "Sons of Anarchy" star and Dakota Johnson as his sex-partner in Ana Steele. And this doesn't matter to Ian Somerhalder, he's a busy man.

"I'm on a TV show that shoots 10 months a year. It's so funny, you read these blogs: 'Ian Somerhalder angry, livid he's not Christian Grey' -- I mean, no, no, no, there's none of that," Somerhalder told the Huffington Post.

Maybe fans spread rumors because they were upset that Hunnam landed the role of Grey, so they made this up to stir up the pot and maybe even get a change, even though E.L. James and the producers said that it's not changing.

With his role on "The Vampire Diaries," he plays a vampire that has bad-guy tendencies, which fans believe could have went well with the S&M billionaire role of Christian Grey.

Besides that show that has been on air since 2009, Somerhalder played roles in "Lost" as Boone Carlyle for 30 episodes. He has also played roles in made-for-T.V. movies and appearances on a multiple amount of shows.
