Pokemon X and Y are just around the corner, and some Pokemon sleuths have spotted a potentially new Kalos Pokedex addition in a recent 3DS commercial.

Uploaded onto the official Nintendo YouTube channel yesterday, this new commercial continues the "I Dream" tagline seen in previous U.S. Pokemon X and Y commercials.

Around the 8 second mark, you can see the main player dashing on a route and passing by a fence area, where two small grey figures can be seen for a brief moment.

So far, the general consensus is that this could be a new Pokedex addition, and many are dubbing it a koala Pokemon until confirmed otherwise.

"Looks like a Koala. It has its shape and color! I wonder what it is! If it is a Koala it is mostly Normal/Grass," writes Afarr on Pokejungle.

"They definitely have some detail to them, their mouths and stomachs are lighter grey, big floppy round ears slightly darker inside the ears. Probably a Koala or a little Ghost type Pokémon," continues RocketClauncher.

In the meantime, the shiny Palkia giveaway event are about to come to an end, so make sure you grab yours before it's too late.

In the U.S., the shiny giveaway event will end on Sunday, while in Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, it will end tomorrow.

For Pokemon fans with Black, White, Black 2, or White 2, be sure to grab the shiny Palkia. Following this event, the Shiny Giratina giveaway event will begin.
