On February 10th, the first episode of Voice of Korea aired on M Net. The format of blind audition, adopted from The Voice, was first attempt in Korea .

The show distinguishes itself from other singing competition programs as the contestants are evalulated purely on their vocal talent.

Jun Seungwon, who had a career as an underground singer gat chosen by all of the four coaches. Superstar K2's runner up John Park's friend Sam Gu also competed and revceived favorable reviews. Voice of Korea adopts the coaching system, where the coaches work together with the contestants before the final stages. 48 Contestants will be selected through the first round and amon them, 24 contestants wil compete on the final stage after going through the trainings with their coaches.
