The iPhone 5S is now officially a success for Apple in spite accusations from critics regarding the lack of innovation on the company's part. This is because iPhone 5S sales managed to sit atop the US market as the most sold electronic device for the month of September. 

In a report by research firm Canaccord Genuity, both the iPhone 5S and its plastic sibling the iPhone 5C are off to a great start as far as the US market is concerned. 

Based on the device's initial sales, the firm predicts Apple to sell 52 million iPhone units across the globe before the year ends. 

Getting the top spot for device sales for September is not actually an easy feat for the iPhones, which were released on the 20th. Not to mention that there were initial shortage of supplies even before the iPhones hit the shelves. 

However, on the other side of the globe, the Cupertino company's cheaper iPhone 5C is not getting the attention it needs. In a report before the end of September, Chinese retailers have started offering the plastic coated phone at a far cheaper price. 

On the other hand, with the research firm's report, we can safely say that the US remains loyal to Apple's products.
