Brad Pitt Movie ‘Fury’ Has Real Stabbing Incident; ‘Mr Smith’ Asks Villagers To Ignore The Explosions

Brad Pitt's new movie, "Fury" is set in World War II. They are currently shooting in the fields near the quiet village of Oxfordshire.

Fury is a big budget film and much of that budget is spent to produce a realistic portrayal of war. The residents of the village were already given a warning, or a notice. "We wanted to warn people in advance so that they are not alarmed - but also, we don't want people ringing the emergency services!"

Fury is set in 1945, as Pitt's tank crew attempt a dangerous mission behind German lines. According to the Standard a replica German village will be built around an existing farm, and other buildings have been taken over and set up as production bases.

Meanwhile, a depiction of war ended up with a real casualty of a war movie. Well, not quite. A stuntman has been stabbed with a bayonet on the set for Brad Pitt's new film.

The victim, 35, is believed to have been stabbed accidentally during rehearsals on set in Pyrton, Oxfordshire.

The stuntman was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford by air ambulance.

A spokeswoman for the film's production company said the incident had been an accident.

She said: "There has been an accident between two professional stuntmen which happened in a rehearsed action sequence. It was an accident. It is obviously very unfortunate."

She said that filming would continue, adding the stuntman "left the set laughing and talking".

Thames Valley Police said the force was not treating the incident as a crime.

Pitt stars in Fury alongside Shia LaBeouf and Logan Lerman. (Quotes from The Guardian)
