Kim Kardashian has never been afraid to go under the knife to enhance her beauty but her boyfriend Kanye West is not really happy with her fondness for cosmetic enhancements.

West has allegedly banned Kardashian from major surgeries after losing his mother, Donda, because of complications caused from a cosmetic procedure.

When the reality TV actress gave birth to her daughter North, she reportedly planned to have an immediate tummy tuck. "Kim was certain that she wanted to have surgery after giving birth because she wanted a head start on losing her baby weight," claims one source.

However, West got mad upon learning out of his girlfriend's beauty plans: "Kanye told Kim in no uncertain terms that she needed to put her baby and her life first. He got pretty emotional because he really didn't want her going through that kind of major surgery. He's still traumatized from his mom's death."

West's mother passed away in 2007 at the age of 58 after suffering several "post-operative" factors after undergoing a liposuction and breast-reduction surgery. Due to this occurrence, West became extremely protective of the 'Keeping up with the Kardashians' actress: "He really put his foot down and told Kim the surgery ban is a condition of being with him."

Since Kardashian cannot lose weight instantly, she had to do the process in a natural manner. Although she has lost a significant amount of weight because of Atkins diet, the source claims that she has not yet regained her self-esteem: "Kim is telling everyone that she doesn't want to go out in public unless she absolutely has to, because she's still too self-conscious of her body. She keeps saying that she doesn't want to have to look at 'fat pictures' for years."

As per her boyfriend's request, any surgery that requires being unconscious is prohibited but Botox injections as well as fillers are fine.
