Six Nights In Wreck With Dead Body Leaves Man Barely Alive [VIDEO] Survivor Lived Through Freezing Temperatures, "Had An Angel"; How Will Survivor Deal With Trauma Of the Car Crash?

Six Nights In Wreck With Dead Body: It sounds like the title to a horror movie, but one man just survived an ordeal of six nights trapped in a wreck with the dead body of his friend.

According to Fremont County Coroner Carlette Brocious, The truck carrying Ronald Lee Mohr and Richard William Koester went off U.S. Highway 50 and into a ravine about 85 miles south of Denver on October 11.

Mohr died in the wreck, but Koester lived six days in the wreck with his dead body.  The temperatures were near freezing at night, with light rain, and there was no food.

According to Brocious, the man who spent six nights in a wreck with his friend's body was not found because "'they were down in a culvert and you just couldn't see them from the road.  It was just wonderful that the CDOT worker found them when he was looking over the guardrail."

Koester is now being treated for the injuries from the wreck, but spending six nights with a body of your friend can leave emotional scars, too.  Any event which overwhelms the resources of coping, or which threatens death or serious injury, can cause psychological trauma.  Car crashes are common trauma triggers.

Hopefully Koester will be able to overcome the injuries sustained living six nights in a wreck with his friend's dead body.
