Benedict Cumberbatch admitted to TIME magazine that being in the spotlight makes keeping his life private very difficult.

"Every time I'm seen at a bar with a girl, I get photographed," Cumberbatch revealed with a sigh in the interview, E! News reports. "Anyone who has a computer knows my entire dating history. I get it. Paparazzi is an inescapable, immovable obstacle."

The 37-year-old British star is famous for his portrayal of Julian Assange in the upcoming thriller, "The Fifth Estate," and for playing the villain Khan in the summer blockbuster "Star Trek Into Darkness," E! News reports.

Benedict Cumberbatch also expressed surprise that while filming in rural Oklahoma for the family drama "August: Osage County,"  he was recognized by locals.

"I thought, Oh, I won't get recognized here," he told TIME magazine in their latest issue. "But the first café I walked into, the waitresses were like, 'Oh my God! Aren't you on television? Don't you play Sherlock Holmes?' It's amazing the spread of that thing, it's incredible."

But it should come as no surprise that Benedict is spotted everywhere; he topped Empire magazine's list of "100 Sexiest Movie Stars," alongside Emma Watson.

And though Benedict Cumberbatch was recently connected to 'Downton Abbey' actress Laura Carmichael, it seems the sexiest man in the world is still single and doesn't have a serious girlfriend.

But according to Cumberbatch's recent comments, we're sure the moment he starts dating again, we'll hear of it.
