Drake Cancels Concert – Fans Waited For More Than One Hour!

Drake cancels concert in Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia last Saturday night. The rapper apparently cancelled his concert an hour after the show was scheduled to start. According to philly.com concert goers were already seated at the venue when they were informed that Drake would not be able to perform that night.

A representative for Wells Fargo Center made a statement giving the details for the abrupt change: "Due to the elaborate nature of tonight's show and an unexpected technical issue, Drake's 'Would You Like A Tour' concert series at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia has been postponed until Wednesday, December 18th." Fans who bought tickets for last Saturday's show would be able to use their tickets for the new date.

The Philadelphia show that the rapper cancelled was the second stop on his "Would You Like A Tour" series of concerts. The first show was held across Pennsylvania in Pittsburgh just the night before the unfortunate event happened.

Prior to that, Drake seems to be having problems with his tour, with him supposedly firing supporting act Future over a statement given by the rapper to Billboard regarding Drake's new album, "Nothing Was the Same."

"Drake made an album that is full of hits, but it doesn't grab you. They're not possessive; they don't make you feel the way I do," Future said.

According to New York Post's report, Drake had invited Future to return to the tour, offering less than $40,000-per-gig, which was originally offered, Future declined the offer and threaten to sue Drake for $1.5 million in lost wages.

Future's management was firm in stating that the quotes made by the rapper were meant to be off the record and was taken out of context.

Both parties agreed to a settlement and Future verified to Rolling Stone that would be returning to Drake's tour as supporting act.

Another opener for the last Saturday's cancelled show, Miguel was appalled with what happened. "Man, just found out, unfortunately tonight's show in Philly is cancelled. Can't wait to find out the rescheduled date and come back and rock," he tweeted.

Drake's fans have divided opinion about the incident, most were understandably disappointed and even called the rapper as "unprofessional," however some were more understanding and still willing to go back and see Drake on December 18.
