GTA 5 PC Release Date News: Internet Leak Reveals AMD Catalyst Support For Computer Version? Forum Displays PC Compatibility

Guru3D forums reveals a post which includes an AMD Catalyst driver which supports "GTA.5exe," leaving many gamers wondering if this signals compatibility with a PC version for Grand Theft Auto 5.

Hewlett-Packard released a short message regarding the PC release date of Grand Theft Auto 5, pointing to an end-of-month release for the version.

"Get ready to own your friends in Grand Theft Auto in October with the HP ENVY Phoenix 810," the company wrote in a public message.

But Rockstar Games will release a PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 in the beginning of 2014, multiple rumors have reported, and will include fixes to gameplay loss that gamers have been experiencing.

"This title update will resolve the cause of players losing their gameplay progress except for some specific instances where players purchase a vehicle and the save does not occur due to a cloud save failure," Rockstar Games said in a statement, according to The Guardian.

"A fix for that particular issue is being worked on and we will provide an update as soon as we know when this will be resolved."

CinemaBlend.com released a poll that asked gamers which console they would want to see Grand Theft Auto 5 made for and PS4 won with 491 votes while the Xbox One lost with 199 votes.

While a possible PC version of the game was not included in the poll, the website mentioned the growing attention computer gaming activists are getting for wanting Rockstar Games to make a version just for them.
