‘Man of Steel 2, Batman Vs Superman’ DC Executive Provides Very Careful Clues; ‘Wonder Woman’ Character Is A Real Concept

Greg Silverman is president of creative development & worldwide production of Warner Bros. and he skillfully addresses many rumors about the much-awaited 'Man Of Steel' sequel.

The project has been given the working title 'Batman Vs Superman' which gives us more than a clue on who will be there. The big question was whether there will be additions. The biggest name on the list is Wonder Woman.

Silverman spoke in an event sponsored by Variety. Comicbookmovie.com chronicles his statements:

On the Wonder Woman rumors, Silverman said, "We have been doing a lot of thinking for years about how to best use all those characters and we love them. Wonder Woman is an amazing character. I think it's a great opportunity both for box office success, but also to have an amazingly powerful female superhero."

Silverman was also asked about the appearance of the Amazon princess in the Batman Vs. Superman film or whether Amazon princess will get a separate film on her own. Silverman replied, "We are taking it all very seriously and are trying to do a plan that's respectful to those characters and maximizes the stories as best they can. So everything that has been speculated are things that we've thought about.'" (It does confirm that the character of Wonder Woman has made it to the conceptual stage)

On  the selection of Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader, the Warner Bros. executive says, "We knew going in that we had more information than the general public had. We knew what the take of the movie was, we knew what the character was going to be. We don't take these decisions lightly. We thought about everybody - brand new people, established people. Ben is the perfect guy to play this role."

On whether Batman and Superman will be chums or rivals:  "..they both will be wearing suits, there are capes involved, there will be action, there will be excitement" The Warner Bros. executive reiterates that Zack Snyder and David Goyer will render the characters with justice. "They've crafted a great story. I mean, this is where it all comes from for us. It's just a great story that involves these amazing characters."
