Nokia Releases New Lumia Phones And Prepares For Tablet Vs IPad Battle

Nokia releases new Lumia phones and a new tablet that they say will surely contend against its competitors. The phone company revealed in Abu Dhabi earlier today its new line of phones including a much anticipated tablet, during the Nokia World Event.

Of all the numerous revelations they had, the one that stole the spotlight is the Nokia Lumia 1520. This top-of-the-line phone boasts a much bigger display which has a six-inch ClearBlack LCD that can run at 1080p resolution. The 1520 can run at lightning speed with a quad-core processor that is equipped with a Snapdragon 800 chipsets with 2.2 GHz, alongside a staggering 2GB of RAM. Among others, this is outfitted with 32GB worth of storage and a microSD slot for storage expansion.

The lower end version of the 1520 is the all new Nokia Lumia 1320. The second stringer from their event shows how powerful their gadgets can be with an LTE-enabled phone that comes with a five megapixel camera that comes with an LED flash. It comes with a decent 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage that has a microSD slot for expansion, as well.

Stephen Elop head of Microsoft devices said that, "We have boosted the Lumia design to a six inch screen. We've collaborated with Microsoft on the design of with the user interface," he added. "There's more room for people who like lots of tiles."

Together with the series of phone releases is the all new 2520 tablet. The 2520 is equipped with a 4G data chip packing it for LTE connection alongside a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU for a fast output and a screen made of Gorilla Glass 2 that can surely compete with other released tablets. This innovative release also possesses an astounding 6.7 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera that surely beats leading tablets like the Apple's iPad.

Meanwhile, also expected to happen today is the event from Apple wherein people anticipate new releases from them. Nokia boasted on their Twitter account saying that they did an awesome job with their new products and that they will see how Apple can answer back.

Beside the Lumia and tablet reveal, a series of Ashas were also introduced when they showcased the new Asha 500, 502 and 503.
