TLC Movie CrazySexyCool: Lil Mama And Her Portrayal Of Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes Described As 'Eerie' And 'Scary'

The TLC movie CrazySexyCool premiered on yesterday October 21 on VH1. Lil Mama played the role of Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes who died in a car crash in Honduras back in 2002.

The two other surviving members of the 90s girl group are Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins. They watched the TLC movie and was impressed with Lil Mama's accurate portrayal of Left Eye to the point where Chili considered it scary watching the biopic.

"She totally came into character," Chilli told Billboard about Lil Mama's work in the TLC movie. "It was kind of scary. The resemblance was just crazy at times. Naturally, she kind of had some of the similar characteristics like Lisa. It was kind of eerie at times for us."

Keke Palmer played the part of Chilli while Drew Sidora played T-Boz in the TLC movie otherwise known as CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story.

T-Boz commented, "You never know how you look to someone else until you see for yourself. It was weird. It was very weird seeing my haircut on Drew. ... To see them do our dance moves really took us back."

The TLC movie is two hours long and showcases the Grammy-winning group's story of fame as well as their personal lives.
Left Eye was made infamous after she burned down the house of ex-lover and former NFL athlete Andre Rison.

The trio experienced falling out between them as well as financial hardships.

TLC is considered the most commercially successful American girl group. The trio covered the genres of R&B, hip hop, funk and soul. They saw success in the 1990s.

The group's first album was "Ooooooohhh... On the TLC Tip" which sold 6 million copies around the world. Their second album CrazySexyCool was even more successful after selling 23 million copies worldwide. Their third album FanMail sold over 11 million copies around the globe.
