New MacBook Pro With Retina Display Wows Consumers At Apple Products Launch Event 2013; CEO Tim Cook Says Apple Committed ‘To Build The Best Personal Computers In The World’

Apple Inc. launched the new MacBook Pro with Retina display, along with iPad Air, iPad Mini 2 and OS X Maverick at the Apple product launch event held today in San Francisco.

Tim Cook, the Chief Executive of the company, addressed the crowd reiterating the company's focus on designing innovative gadgets and gizmos.

"We have an amazing line up of desktops and notebooks and we've had one focus since the beginning: to build the best personal computers in the world, " said the CEO.

Setting the background for the big announcement for new MacBook Pro with retina display, Cook said, "We still believe deeply in this category and we're not slowing down on our innovation. We've been really hard at work on the Mac."

The new MacBook Pros are available in 13-inch and 15-inch. While considerably faster, lighter and more powerful than the earlier laptops in the Mac series. The 13-inch Mac has battery life of nine hours while the slightly larger one runs for eight hours on one full charge. 

The presence of fourth generation dual-core Intel Core i5 processor (2.6 GHz) in the 13-inch model and quad -core Intel Core i7 processor in the 15-inch model along with faster flash storage technology make the new MacBook Pros ideal for complex projects that require high speed and functioning.

To the delight of the Apple fans, the faster, better and lighter MacBook Pros are cheaper as well, with the 13-inch device costing $1299 and 15-inch device costing $1,999. Apple has started shipping the new MacBook pros that come installed with OS X Maverick. Apple also announced that users can download the new OS X Maverick free of cost from the online Apple store.   

The bevy of products from Apple Inc's posy comes just ahead of the holiday season. iPad Air will start shipping from November 1, 2013 while iPad Mini two fans will have to wait till the end of November to buy the second generation devise that now comes fitted with retina display.
