Nokia Lumia 2520 vs Microsoft Surface 2: Unveiling and Release

Nokia launched its Lumia 2520 on the same day that the Microsoft Surface 2 was poised to be released in the market. This gave the Surface 2 an advantage since it is now available, as it started to be on sale earlier this week. However, the Nokia Lumia 2520 does not have a specific release date yet, though it is expected to arrive later this quarter, as posted on ZDnet.

When it comes to the display size, the two Windows RT tablets have slight difference. Surface 2 is 0.5-inch bigger than the Lumia 2520, with the former having a display size of 10.6 inches compared to Lumia 2520's 10.1-inch display.

Meanwhile, Nokia Lumia 2520 and Microsoft Surface 2 have similar display resolution - 1920 x 1080. But when it comes to pixel density, Lumia 2520 has better specs with its 218 ppi compared to Surface 2's 208ppi.

Microsoft equipped the Surface 2 with NVIDIA Tegra 4 quad-core processor clocked at 1.7 GHz quartz and 2 GB RAM. For the storage, customers can pick from a 32GB model or a 64GB model. The rear camera has 5 MP sensor while the front comes with 3.5 camera sensor.

On the other hand, the Nokia Lumia 2520 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with clock speed of 2.2GHZ, which is slightly higher than the Surface 2. It also has a 2 GB RAM but only have 32 GB storage capacity. The Lumia 2520 features 6.7 MP primary camera and 2 MP camera sensor for the front-facing one.
