Watch the live stream online free for the Senators vs Red Wings game as a new rivalry is born. The two teams won't meet again until Nov. 23. On that day, Daniel Alfredsson will play the team he captained and played for 17 years, totaling 1,178 games. Alfredsson first game against the Senators will be Wednesday, but he makes his return home in November.

"The city of Ottawa is going to miss him and as teammates of his for so long we miss him too, but he turned the page. We've got to turn the page too," Senators forward Chris Neil told NHL.com. "You don't dwell on it, you just go out, focus on the task at hand and that's to beat the Detroit Red Wings."

Craig Anderson is expected to get the start in net for the Senators on Wednesday. He has stopped 74 of 79 shots (.937 save percentage) and has won his past two starts. In his second start back from a minor hand injury, Tim Howard recorded his 17th career shutout for the Red Wings.

Detroit has lost two in a row, but only gave up one goal against the highest-scoring team in the NHL. Unfortunately for them, the San Jose Sharks didn't allow a goal against the Red Wings on Monday. Ottawa is coming off 3-1 loss against the Edmonton Oilers in only their second home game of the season.
