Katharine McPhee just may be a homewrecker. The "Smash" actress was caught kissing her "Smash" director, and as a result, director Michael Morris' actress wife Mary McCormack threw her husband out of their Los Angeles home Sunday night, Fox News reports via Page Six.

Mary McCormack, who played Howard Stern's wife in "Private Parts," TMZ reports, has three young daughters with Morris, ages 2, 6 and 9.

According to Fox News, Morris knew the photos of him kissing McPhee were about to leak because, a source adds, he tried to buy them to keep them from ever being seen by the public.

Obviously, the photos were leaked. TMZ posted the images of him and McPhee enjoying a makeout sesh in broad daylight in a Hollywood parking lot. They were also photographed cuddling and holding hands.

And what about Katharine and her husband? McPhee, 29, is married to 47-year-old producer Nick Cokas, TMZ reports.

However, sources close to Katharine and Nick told TMZ that the two have been separated for six months and are living apart. They were married in 2008.

Looks like the couple may be heading for divorce after this public scandal.

McPhee spoke to Shape magazine about her marriage in 2011. "Everyone said it would be hard, but I didn't believe them. Surprise, surprise. It was really difficult! I had to switch from 'me' mode to 'we' mode. But that's not a negative thing, it's just a challenge. That's been my biggest lesson since 'Idol' and getting married, that life is not what you expect. Acknowledging that helped me grow up fast," she said.
