Nexus 5 Release Date Rumors: Bluetooth Certification Signals Early Launch? Bluetooth SIG Publishes Certificate For New Phone

Google's next Nexus Android reference smartphone is likely just around the corner, and the Bluetooth SIG published a certification of a device that matches its model identification code, TechCrunch.com writes.

The "LG-D821″ is already essentially confirmed as the new Nexus 5, and its approval today by the Bluetooth SIG means that it's probably on track for a rumored launch early next week, TechCrunch.com also writes.

But future users are already preparing to get their hands on the phone as soon as possible.

An eBay listing for the Nexus 5 has popped up, and will allow you to "Buy It Now" - for $650, AndroidCommunity.com reports.

For well above the starting price of $349 (the listing is for the 32GB variety, which we assume will be $399), you can make sure you get your order in for the Nexus 5, AndroidCommunity.com also reports.

Google has sent out invitation to its press event to release the Nexus 5 and Nexus 10 2 on October 24, 2013.

The tech giant finally sent out press invitations to the event, which will take place in New York City at 7 p.m., ChristianToday.com reports.

Google confirmed to The Verge last week that it has no plans to restock the 8GB Nexus 4, BGR reports, pointing to the possible development and release date of the Nexus 5.

"While the 16GB model is still available in Google's online shop, this could be a very good indication that the next-generation Nexus 5 is on the way," BGR writes.

"And according unnamed sources speaking with Droid Life, the Nexus 5 will indeed launch sometime in October, likely toward the end of the month."
