IU has transformed her appearance by cutting her hair short.

On October 23rd, IU appeared on SBS Radio "Jang Gi Ha's Amazing Radio," and surprised her fans by revealing her new bob.

In this broadcast, which proceeded as a viewable radio show, IU said, "I didn't realize it was a visual radio show. As I was coming up, I thought oops!" and elicited laughter from the listeners.

Jang Kiha then said, "Why are you trying to hide your hair with your hat?" IU responded, "I wanted to hide it as much as possible. Next week I'm going to be wrapping up my activities, and I wanted to reveal it for the first time onstage."

She said, "It's still awkward. It's been a long time since I cut my hair. For the last 3 years I didn't even trim my hair and just grew it out. Since I cut my hair after 3 long years of growing it out, it feels like something's missing."
