Hailee Steinfeld: Taylor Swift Is `Like a Big Sister’; Turned on to Taylor Swift by Emma Stone

Hailee Steinfeld can't say enough good things about Taylor Swift. Since the 16-year-old actress was introduced to Taylor Swift's music by Emma Stone on the set of "Romeo and Juliet," Hailee Steinfeld says Taylor Swift, 23, has become like a "big sister" that she can call any time, no matter where she is and what's going on in her life.

Talking about Taylor Swift, Hailee Steinfeld told People magazine, ''We connected a few years ago; she's like a big sister to me. She's the best listener. I feel like I can call or text her wherever she is in the world and she'll always be there.''

When Hailee Steinfeld needed advice on dealing with sudden fame at such a young age, she said Taylor Swift was the logical choice because she went through the same thing.

Hailee Steinfeld said, ''For teenagers - and I mainly speak for myself on this one - you're put into this adult world and it's scary as anything can happen at any moment, but I'm just thankful my parents have raised me the way they have. I feel really confident just being me. I think a lot of the young actresses out there are the same - they've got really good backgrounds and families. We're just doing what we love and we're only doing it for that reason.''

Hailee Steinfeld shot her way to fame with her Oscar nominated role in the Coen Brothers' film "True Grit" when she was only 13 years old. Three years later, Hailee Steinfeld said it was Taylor Swift who helped her cope with Hollywood fame.

According to IMDb, Hailee Steinfeld has five films in production through next year, according to IMDb.

Hailee Steinfeld will next hit the big screen in "Ender's Game," directed by Gavin Hood. The movie is scheduled for release from next month.

Hailee Steinfeld, who starred in "Romeo and Juliet" with Emma Stone, has also been cast in the new Vince Vaughn thriller, "Term Life," which is based on a graphic novel. "Term Life" will be directed by Peter Billingsley. The screenplay was written by A.J. Lieberman, who wrote the original graphic novel with Nick Thornborrow.

Vince Vaughn will star in "Term Life." Vaughn play Nick Barrow, a criminal who plans and sells heists to the highest bidder but winds up on the run from mob bosses, contract killers and dirty cops. Hailee Steinfeld plays his estranged daughter Cate. Barrow takes out a life insurance policy on himself and names Cate as his beneficiary. But she can't collect unless  he stays alive for 21 days. Vaughn takes Hailee Steinfeld with him on the run.

"Term Life" is being produced by Vince Vaughn, Micah Mason and Victoria Vaughn for Wild West Picture Show Productions.

Peter Billingsley worked with Vince Vaughn before on Universal's "Couples Retreat," which made $172 million at the box office.

Hailee Steinfeld was nominated for an Oscar for her performance in "True Grit" opposite Jeff Bridges when she was 14. The young actress plays Juliet in "Romeo & Juliet." Hailee Steinfeld was also featured  in "Ender's Game" and John Carney's "Can a Song Save Your Life."

When Hailee Steinfeld was making "Romeo and Juliet," she was introduced to her BFF Taylor Swift by co-star Emma Stone.
