While Irish actor Jamie Dornan is allegedly soon to play Christian Grey of the 50 Shades of Grey movie, Britney Spears rather have James Franco take on the role of the kinky billionaire.

According to Entertainment Weekly, The "Work Bitch" singer would prefer the "Pineapple Express" stud play the 27-year-old tycoon Christian Grey.

“I love James Franco,” Spears said. “I think he’s really cool.”

Although the people in charge of the 50 Shades of Grey movie production have their hearts mostly set on Dornan, could Spears be on to something?

Franco definitely has the makings of a Christian Grey and EW listed a few reasons why.

First of all, Franco is no stranger to the BDSM culture. While playing a performance artist n "General Hospital," the hunk hand no issues with being blindfolded.

50 Shades of Grey is full of corny lines like, "I want you to become well acquainted, on first name terms if you will, with my favorite and most cherished part of my body. I’m very attached to this." After playing the romantic lead in movies like "Tristan and Isolde," Franco should be accustom to the cheesiness.

Also, a majority of the erotic novel is centered around dirty emails exchanged between Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. With his awesome Instagram account and various columns he has published, Franco seems to be dominating social media.

Besides being blindfolded in "General Hospital," Franco got kinky when co-directing, producing, and starring in "Interior. Leather Bar.," and indie movie about queer sex on film.

In the book Anastasia describes Christian as, "...not merely good looking...he is the epitome o male beauty, breathtaking." This is Franco in a nutshell since he has already worked as a male model and played the legendary heartthrob James Dean.
