Mass Stabbing in Brooklyn Leaves Five Children, One Adult Dead; The Youngest Victim Was 18 Months Old

A Brooklyn mass stabbing left five dead this morning. Four of the victims were children. The youngest victim of the Brooklyn mass stabbing was an 18-month-old boy. Cops found suspect inside the apartment when they arrived at the scene. Sources say the Brooklyn mass stabbing suspect have be related to the children. The suspect has not been unidentified.

A high-ranking police source said "It's looking like a domestic violence case."

The suspect is not the father. Neighbor May Chan said "The father was freaking out. He just came home from work and saw the police and they told him. He was hysterical. I always see (the kids) running around here. They run around by my garage playing. They run up and down screaming. They're little kids ... that's so heartbreaking. Innocent kids, my God."

A neighbor said that a Chinese interpreter told the parent who wasn't home during the attack what had happened.

A police source said that the suspect is in custody. The Brooklyn mass stabbing suspect is being questioned at the 66th Precinct. The mass stabbing took place in an apartment on 57th St., near Ninth Ave., in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

NYPD officers arrived at a grisly scene in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, where officials say a woman and four children were stabbed to death last night in a Brooklyn apartment.

Three of the victims, the 18-month old boy and two girls aged 9 and 6 were already dead when paramedics arrived at the scene just after 11 p.m. A 37-year-old woman and an 8-year-old boy were rushed to area hospitals. Officials said that doctors couldn't save them.

No names have been released.

Kenny Lin, 33, who lives on the block, said "I saw the mom and the kid, just covered in blood. They were both on stretchers."

Rencong Lee, 26, said she saw a woman being comforted by a friend. Lee said "She said, 'My family was cut ... there's so much blood. She was crying, I think she was panicking. (Then) I saw them put a body in the ambulance."

The man in custody had not been charged early Sunday.
