Apple Mac Pro New Release: Customized Red Mac Pro Will Be Sold At Auction For More Than $40,000 To Fight Aids

In line with the Apple Mac Pro new release, the company's head for human interaction, John Ive and designer Marc Newson tailored a one-of-a-kind Mac Pro that has a price tag of $40,000 to $60,000.

This is item will be auctioned off at a special event called Product (RED) fundraiser, co-hosted by rock star turned philanthropist Bono.

The auction will happen on November 23 in New York. The event and the products that are up for grabs are in Sotheby's website. According to their website, the new computer is engineered with extruded aluminum and is 9.9 inches tall and has a diameter of 6.6 inches with an estimated cost of 40 to 60 thousand dollars. The original soon-to-be-released model of the desktop computer is slated to be in black color and has the same dimensions to this auctioned product.

The same auction expects a unique pair of earpods. The new earphones are designed with solid rose gold also created by Ive and Newson. According to Sotheby's website, this sophisticated piece of earphones is engineered with an 18 karat rose gold primarily made up of 75.75 percent gold, 20 percent copper, 4 percent silver and 0.25 percent zinc. The gold earphones are 47 inches long and are also set for auction at the same date with a staggering price tag of $20,000 to $25,000.

Among others, the occasion will auction in a custom Range Rover, an elegant Hermes horse saddle and a one-off Dom Perignon bottle cooler which will headline the "RED" event.

This November charity event will raise funds that will benefit the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

The new Mac Pro was recently released in Apple's October Fall Event that also exhibited the new line of iPads and Macbook Pro with Retina display.

The new Mac Pro is the first Apple product to be designed and manufactured in the United States.
