Natalie Portman Felt Satisfaction After Slapping Chris Hemworth; ‘Black Swan’ Actress Says It’s For Girls Who Once Had Their Hearts Broken

Natalie Portman wittingly admitted that she felt satisfied after slapping Chris Hemsworth in 'Thor: The Dark World', the second installment of the highly-acclaimed Marvel film. The 'Black Swan' actress added that the slap was dedicated to single girls who suffered pain from men.

"I found it very satisfying. I think it's behalf of all my girlfriends who had guys that didn't call them back or disappeared or just fell off the face of the earth," confesses Portman to E! Online.

At six feet and three inches, the 'Rush' actor is undoubtedly taller than Portman whose height is just a little over five feet. Nonetheless, Portman reveals how she was able to deliver such act: "There were sort of like secret boxes or ramps or something that they would sneak in there so I could be closer to him, otherwise there would be no way I could hit his face if I tried. I'd be like jumping and trying to reach his cheek."

Does Hemsworth harbor any ill feelings towards Portman for the slap?

In an interview with Associated Press, the Australian actor said that the slap "did not sting too much". He likewise deemed the slap as a laughable act:  "It just got really funny and ridiculous you know. It's like in high school when you're not meant to laugh." He added that it took several takes for Portman to finally come up with the "right" slap.

The whole cast of the superhero film was present during its premiere in London last Tuesday. Hemsworth looked every inch a dapper with his dark brown suit whereas Tom Hiddleson, who plays Loki, donned a black tuxedo. As for the belle of the ball, Portman made sure to appear stunning in a lengthy silver Christian Dior frock.
