New Pokemon Detective Game To Follow X And Y Release: Pokemon Trozei Sequel In Development?

It seems a new Pokemon game will follow the release of X and Y.

Currently, a special episode is airing on NHK (a Japanese broadcasting company) called "The Professionals" talking about The Pokemon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara.

In this special, a new game is shown starring Pikachu, and last week, a brief teaser trailer was released, which shows gameplay where a magnifying glass is pointed down at a Pikachu.

According to Pokejungle, the new game will be a detective style game, where the Pikachu aids the player on his/her cases! In this new Pokemon game, a rare Pikachu is said to be the enemy within the game. A talking Pikachu that is blue will also be featured.

This blue Pikachu is reportedly controlled by motion capture and facial recognition. Serebii also adds that this new Pokemon game is aimed to be ready for release in two years.

"The Professionals" also highlights the fact that a new sequel to Pokemon Trozei was in development, but now seems unclear whether it will be released or not.

If fans can't recall, Pokemon Trozei was a puzzle game that was released in 2005 or 2006. It was well-received during the time of the release.

So far, despite it being a new Pokemon game, fans seem skeptical that it will live up to the Pokemon brand.

"Considering the epic-ness of Pokemon X and Y, anything revealed will be considered a disappointment," writes Chicolombia on Pokejungle.
