Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date: Roxas And Ventus Return? Tetsuya Nomura Hints At Reemergence Of Two Characters In Upcoming Game Title

Kingdom Hearts 3 video game director Tetsuya Nomura hinted at the return of Roxas and Ventus for the upcoming title during a recent interview, Examiner.com reports, giving hope to fans for reemergence of the two characters.

Nomura was interviewed by Famitsu Magazine about the upcoming game and said he was "curious to see what will happen" when asked about the return of the two aforementioned characters.

Roxas appeared in the prologue sequence of Kingdom Hearts 2, the ending of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts 356/2 Days while Ventus was seen in the secret ending of Kingdom Hearts 2 and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep.

But the reintroduction of older characters isn't the only thing gamers are buzzing about.

Yosuke Matsuda commented on financial troubles plaguing Square Enix earlier this month, examining the causes of delaying the release date of Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy XV.

According to a report by Dual Shockers on Oct. 4, the new president stated that the "delay from development" was one of the factors behind their losses, Examiner.com also reports.

Kingdom Hearts 3 will be published by Square Enix with Disney Interactive Studios handling the distribution duties at the company's Osaka branch.

Square Enix has yet to announce an official release date for Kingdom Hearts 3.

The game is also expected to be released for next-generation console Playstation 4 once a final decision on the game's launch is made.

"Square Enix should take advantage of the next generation of consoles to provide us the open, expansive Disney worlds that would be perfect for FlowMotion. And while we're at it, let's fill the expansive worlds with plenty of Disney characters for us to interact with," writes one blogger on Games.com.
