Niall Horan of One Direction talked about One Direction's new single "Story Of My Life," and Niall Horan gushed about how excited 1D was about the song.

During an interview with Capital FM, Niall Horan talked about One Direction's third studio album, "Midnight Memories," and their new single, which just released today, "Story Of My Life."

"This track is not actually one that we wrote this time. A good friend of ours and a songwriter called Jamie Scott who's in a band called Graffti6 - he wrote this song. He's written a few for us before like 'More Than This' and on the last few albums," Niall Horan explained during the recent interview, The Inquisitr reports.

Niall Horan continued, "He's written a lot with us on this album too. We were in Nottingham on tour when we were touring the UK back in February and March and we just came into a room one day and he was like 'I've got this song that I've written and I want to play you'. And we just fell in love with it the second we heard it."

According to E! Online, "Story of My Life" is the second single off One Direction's upcoming album "Midnight Memories," which is set to drop on November 25.

The 20-year old Niall Horan also addressed the upcoming music video for new single "Story Of My Life," which is currently riding high on the UK iTunes chart, MTV UK reports.

"It's kinda like the song. It's not very energetic. It kinda explains the story of my life - hence the name of the song," he said.

"We don't really like doing normal videos because if you're going do a video, you shoot a video every few months, you want it to be good."

Niall concluded: "Our videos have become a bit of an event so we sit down with the whoever's going to direct it and actually have a chat and let them know exactly what we want to do in the video."
