PlayStation 4 Release Date News: 300 MB System Update Coming During PS4 Market Launch Set For November 15; Companion App Arriving Nov. 13

PlayStation 4 release date is set to happen in just a few weeks from now.

Prior to the official PlayStation 4 release date, Sony has been announcing news and details about the arrival of the console. One of the news that Sony revealed about PlayStation 4 release date is that there will be a system update on the day of the console's arrival.

As posted on Christian Today, on the day of the PlayStation 4 release, there will be a PS4 System Update 1.50 which is 300-megabytes heavy. Accordingly, this day one patch update enables online multiplayer options as well as remote play, alongside other new features.

Moreover, Sony is also scheduled to launch its PlayStation App before the PlayStation 4 release date. The app, arriving on November 13, is compatible to iOS and Android devices and will allow for a second screen.

The official PlayStation 4 release date for US and Canada is set for November 15. With a little over two weeks until the new gaming console arrives in the US, the pre-order stats of the device have already reached millions. Furthermore, the PlayStation 4 release date for Europe, Australia and New Zealand is scheduled for November 29.

Aside from PlayStation 4 release date, the gamers are also excited with the launch titles or the games which will be hitting the stores same day as the game console. As a matter of fact, there will be 24 exclusive games to launch with the PlayStation 4 next month. Aside from these 24 launch titles, 180 more games are on the works.

  • Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
  • Call of Duty: Ghosts
  • Killzone Shadow Fall
  • Minecraft
  • Need for Speed: Rivals
  • NBA Live 14
  • NBA 2K14
