Nexus 5 Specs Unveiled by Canadian Carrier Wind Mobile, New Droid Sports Top-Notch Hardware, But Only An 8MP Camera

For the past several weeks, the Nexus 5 has filled up the rumor mill will alleged specs, pricing and release date. In Canada, it even goes available for pre-order even without the official announcement from Google.

In a report by GSM Arena, the upcoming Android phone has been spotted in a Canadian carrier website, which already offers it for pre-orders.

Wind Mobile, one of Canada's top network carriers, launched a web page that provides pre-orders for the Nexus 5, even before it is launched. Aside from the pre-registration instructions, subscribers have also seen the full specifications of the Google hero phone.

According to the screen cap posted by GSM Arena and The Verge, the phone will sport a 4.95" display with 1920x1080 pixel resolution (445ppi), and a scratch-resistant Corning Glass 3 screen.

The Android phone will also run on a Snapdragon 800 chipset with four 2.3Ghz Krait cores, 2GB of RAM and an option for 16GB and 32GB.

However, one of the phone's most awaited features is the Android 4.4 Kit Kat update, that promises a better and smoother user experience. Recent rumors also point to a better TV integration and support for the platform.

After a few minutes, reports say Wind Mobile eventually took the page down.

We are expecting the Nexus 5 to arrive on Friday, as previous rumors claim.
