JYJ Jaejoong Tops iTunes Charts in 9 Countries with 'Just Another Girl'

Kim Jaejoong is proving that his popularity extends far beyond Korea's boarders.

JYJ member Jaejoong released his first full-length solo album, WWW: Who, When, Why, on October 29 and it was instantly met with success.

Racking up YouTube views is only the start. As of October 30, Jaejoong's title track "Just Another Girl" had reached the number one spot on different iTunes charts around the world.

According to the singer's agency C-JeS Entertainment, Jaejoong nabbed the top spot for all-genre charts around Asia in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines as well as in the Caribbean island nation of Barbados.

Furthermore, the company revealed that Jaejoong and WWW were spotted near the top of the iTunes Rock Albums Chart in Finland, Mexico, and Israel.

That means that just a day after its release and already Jaejoong's latest album has made a huge impact in iTunes charts on four continents.

In a press release from C-JeS on Wednesday they explained why WWW and its title tune have mass appeal across the globe.

"The 13-track album has a high degree of completion. Especially the song 'Just Another Girl' has a popular melody combined with Jaejoong's powerful rock voice, which invites a nice response towards the song," the agency commented.

The JYJ singer will continue his album promotions this weekend as he kicks off his 2013 Kim Jaejoong 1st Album Asia Tour Concert with performances in Seoul. He will then head over to Japan to start the international leg of his album tour.
