‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 4 Spoilers: Lots Of Dragon Action And Fire Effects With Daenerys Targaryen To Come Next Spring

"Game of Thrones" season 4 spoilers: fans can expect lots of dragon action and fire effects with Daenerys Targaryen's dragons, come season 4, according to a new blog post by on the Making of "Game of Thrones" website.

In a car park in Belfast, 22 canisters and 400 litres of gas were used by an SFX team to test dragon fire for "Game of Thrones" season 4.

Spoiler alert: we speculate this means season 4 of "Game of Thrones" will be jam-packed with cool fire effects and lots of dragon action with Daenerys Targaryen, Mother of Dragons.

As HNGN reports, Daenerys Targaryen's young hatchling dragons are steadily growing into strong, powerful creatures that breathe fire.

The blog post reveals a little spoiler about season 4 of "Game of Thrones": "we will get a hint of why" the dragons "are legend for a reason."

"Game of Thrones" fans will remember that Daenerys Targaryen became the Mother of Dragons after trading the life of witch Mirri Maz Duur for those of her dragons, who hatched from her, born from the fossilized magic of the fire of Khal Drogo's funeral pyre, HNGN reports.

Daenerys Targaryen plans to use her dragons and her Unsullied army to take back the Iron Throne. HNGN speculates this means plenty of dragon action in the upcoming season.

In the blog post about the SFX team testing dragon fire effects, which was posted on October 29, Cat Taylor explains the process of testing dragon fire for season 4: "Tourists walking... don't even glance in our direction and a jogger runs down the road oblivious to our rag-tag bunch...Then, on command, 15 feet of fire shoots through the air...The first time, no one really notices the flame. SFX have a tight control on the rig and the fire is only coming in short bursts to give the camera crew and VFX team a chance to calibrate and get closer to the outlets.

"Once the bursts come more regularly, a few begin people stop and point across the road and through the fencing. The flames, burning a hot bright orange are hard to miss - and that is what we want, because this is the dragon fire test for Season 4."

Season 4 covers the second half of the book "A Storm of Swords" from George R. R. Martin's series, "A Song of Ice and Fire." Season 4 premieres in spring 2014.
