Orlando Bloom On Miranda Kerr Divorce: Still ‘Love And Care About Each Other’ And ‘Our Son;’ Spotted Kissing In New York After Break Up

Orlando Bloom opened up about his divorce from wife Miranda Kerr on "Katie" on Thursday. Orlando Bloom said that the divorce and break up from Miranda Kerr doesn't mean they don't still love each other or their two-year-old son, Flynn.

Orlando Bloom told host Katie Couric on Thursday that he and Miranda Kerr are more focused on parenting than their divorce or break up, USA Today reports.

"We love each other. We're a family. We're going to be in each other's lives for the rest of our lives," he told Katie Couric, USA Today reports. "There's no question, for the sake of our son and everything else, we're going to support one another and love each other as parents to Flynn."

"Life sometimes doesn't work out exactly as we plan or hope for, but fortunately, we're adults," Orlando continued. "I'm 36 now, she's 30, and we're professionals, and we love and care about each other, and we, most of all, love our son."

A rep for the couple confirmed the breakup to the Daily News last week.

"They have been amicably separated for the past few months," the rep said. "After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation."

"Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family."

In fact, Orlando Bloom was spotted kissing his ex Miranda Kerr goodbye as he left for his Broadway play "Romeo & Juliet."

Earlier, they were seen walking arm-in-arm as they left a lunch at Amaranth restaurant in midtown Manhattan with their son Flynn, The New York Daily News reports.

In the "Cosmopolitan" November issue in which she graces the cover, Miranda gushed about her husband's career, Yahoo! News reports.

"When I saw Orlando on Broadway in Romeo and Juliet, I was blown away," she told the magazine. "For someone to be able to learn all that and hold the energy to do it every day, six days a week - I have so much respect for him."

Miranda and Orlando were married for three years, and together for six.
