How far will the Los Angeles Clippers go this Year? The Playoffs? Conference Finals? NBA Champions? No one knows for sure, but we are all certain that they will fill out the highlight reel.
When you have the league’s best point guard paired with the league’s best power dunker, there is one conclusion. The game between the Clippers and the Warriors, California’s best teams and Western contenders predicted to take a big step forward this season, featured ‘Lob City’ alley-oops and so much more!
First up, Lob City’s main attraction, CP3 to Blake Griffin for two alley-oops in 17 seconds. That must be a record. We don’t see that even in an All-Star Game. With both teams using a running, offense-heavy, high volume of possessions style game, these plays are bound to happen.

It doesn’t mean they were not intense, though. The tension extended into the sidelines when Blake Griffin stepped on Warriors’ coach Mark Jackson’s foot. The latter wasn’t so happy about it, and he shared his thoughts to Blake. Blake is not about to take this lightly either, as seen in the video.

While the contact was not on purpose, both sides wanted to make sure that their personal space was not intruded. Griffin, on his part, reasoned that he was making an inbounds and it was Jackson’s obligation to provide space.

Speaking of personal space, the post can get a little chippy, but these teams two centers took it to the next level. Andrew Bogut and DeAndre Jordan starred in what is now a typical NBA Fight (as coined by Deron Williams)- no punches thrown, only a lot of pushing and beef, with lots of people in between. This would’ve been a heavyweight match-up, but the end result is only two technicals.

By the way, the Clippers won this one126-115 after a shootout between point guards. Chris Paul’s 42 points and 15 assists (MVP numbers!) edged out Stephen Curry’s 38 points coming from 9 3-pointers!
