YG Entertainment’s artists have received abounding love from fans all around the world.

Last year MTV Iggy awarded 2NE1 ‘Best New Band’ and was selected as ‘Top 12 Girls to Watch in 2012’ and held a performance in New York Time Square.

G-Dragon was featured on Singapore’s ‘The Straits Times’ as Top 10 “Men of Style,” and while G-Dragon was pursuing his solo career the famous Louis Vuitton decided to do a sponsorship for him, which is a first for a Korean singer.

Big Bang was proudly selected by CNN as one of ’12 Reasons to Visit Korea in 2012,’ according to a survey conducted by the Korea Tourism Organization 17% selected Big Bang as their favorite artist, which put them as the most popular groups. Also they will kick off their world tour ‘ALIVE TOUR 2012’ on March 2-4 performing in 25 cities and 16 countries. The concert has received a lot of buzz as its being directed by Laurieann Gibson known for worked with top stars like Lady Gaga, Beyonce, and Michael Jackson.

As the agency’s singers become famous, YG agency has been garnering attention as well. The record label and talent agency was founded by for member of Seo Taiji & Boys, Yang Hyun Suk. For example in Big Bang the team leader G-Dragon is dedicated to composition and songwriting TOP is rap, Taeyang is the main vocalist. The individual members also release solo recordings based on their own music style. Therefore there aren’t that many conflicts between members and producers.

In instance of 2NE1 it’s not a typical girl group but shows more of a defiant and deviant image. Therefore YG agency is evaluated as a well-supported agency that is freer in supporting the member’s creativity. YG actively protects member’s individual scandals. YG is known for actively protecting the members that are problematic rather than withdrawing or alienating them from the group. On that account the artists are more trusting and loyal.
