Han Seungyun, along with other members of Kara, sought to justify their popularity in Japan.

Before holding their first private concert on the 18^th at the Olympic Stadium, the members expressed their feelings about their rising popularity in Japan.

When asked about the possible reason behind the Japanese fans' support, Han Seung Yun replied," I don't think it is because of our appearance because there are many pretty singers with amazing bodies. But compared to most singers, we are much more down-to-earth and approachable so I think that might have appealed immensely to fans."

Gyuri added that "People always call us 'idol-breadwinners' and even that is because are not cowering behind the curtains to preserve our image during entertainment programs."

Koo Hara added that "All five of us are unique in different ways," citing their differences as strengths. Nicole thought that it was their hardworking efforts that touched the hearts of Japanese fans whereas Kang Jiyoung got everyone roaring with laughter by answering," I think Kara is popular because we eat well. If you eat well, then you can appeal to anyone anywhere."
