Brandon Jennings, JR Smith Has Twitter War; Pistons Guard Hits New York Knicks Hiring Of JR’s Younger Brother

In the latest edition of NBA Twitter Beef, Brandon Jennings airs his opinion on Twitter and deletes the tweet, but not before it gets noticed by the offended party.
The offended party being JR Smith, it’s not going to be quiet. Brandon Jennings, now with the Detroit Pistons, actually hit the New York Knicks signing of JR Smith’s brother, Chris Smith.

He cited that there are other players, namely Pooh Jeter and Bobby Brown who will play in China this season. NBA Roster spots are valuable. There are new players coming in the draft every year, and the New York Knicks is not a team with a light payroll.

Now there has always been nepotism and package deals in the NBA. Coveted players will ask for concessions, not for themselves but for relatives or friends. Just like in any other field. There are even hints of signings being a condition of the agent (an alleged example is the surprising contract of Martell Webster, which was a condition attached by his agent, who is also the agent for John Wall). However, a roster spot that actually cost the Knicks $2million seemed a little too much.
It’s actually the cause of a lot of snickers and raised eyebrows, but no one actually talked, let alone tweeted about it like what Brandon Jennings did.

The tweet was deleted, that's why this is just a retweet from someone else.It did get noticed by some people Jennings was addressing. Some 'bro' love ensues:
