The Chicago Bulls will visit the Toronto Raptors on Friday without the presence of their star point guard Derrick Rose.
The Bulls who are now 3-3 in the season without getting any wins yet in road games are struggling in their roster because of a struggling Rose who may be out with the injured hamstring.
Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau told Bulls.com that they would see if the star player could play on Friday night.
"We're going to see where he is," coach Tom Thibodeau told the team's official website. "If he can play, he'll play. If he can't, he'll sit. We're taking it day-by-day."
The former MVP was asked if he can play but said that he is not yet sure because of the injury.
"There's a chance," he said. "Right now I'm feeling all right, just trying to rest, do a little treatment. But more than likely I'll be out there playing."
Although, Derrick Rose said that the injury does not really affect him that much and it is not a big concern.
"It's not a concern at all," Rose said. "I think everything I do or if I get hurt, it can be anything, it's going to be blown out of proportion. I'm doing fine and it shouldn't be anything to worry about."
The Bulls came from a long break before this game and the head coach said that somehow became an advantage for them so they could rest his players and be ready for tough matchups when they get back.
"I think the fact that we have a three-day break, which is a little unusual, is good," Thibodeau said.
On the other hand, the Toronto Raptors will try not to add more loss to their record and hopes to get the win at home against the Bulls.
Rudy Gay who scored 29 points after a tough double overtime loss against Houston on Monday is considered as the team's star as teammates would say that he can be the one that can save their team.
"He's definitely one of our go-to guys, so no matter if we were playing anybody, we're going to get him the ball and make sure he gets going," teammate DeMar DeRozan said.
