LG G Pad 8.3 price, reviews: 8.3-inches of premium design with a beautiful display and awesome UI. These are just some of the praise that the new flagship tablet of LG has received, but at $350 and with a range of competing Android-powered tablets, the LG G Pad 8.3 is more of an “almost there” iteration than a “right on” hit.

One of the best things that you will love about the LG G Pad 8.3 is that it has quite a bunch of features that let you use your apps and always be connected without having to put a finger on your phone. The screen on the LG G Pad 8.3 is a whopping 8.3 inches diagonally. The resolution is 1,920 x 1,200 pixels which allows for some great quality high-definition video. All these however is still not enough to justify the amount that you will have to cough up for this tablet.

According to Tech 2, the tablet will be on sale at $350 which is less than what you would pay for the newest iPad mini that will retail for $399 when it comes out by end of November. Despite the fact that the iPad Mini will bear a smaller screen than the LG coming in at 7.9 inches, the resolution still beats the LG. The iPad Mini will boast a cool 2,048 x 1,536 pixels. Other smaller tablets with higher resolutions would be the Google Nexus 7 and Amazon’s KindleFire HDX that retails for $229.

Tech 2 states that what the LG can offer you that the iPad won’t is the capability to pair it with an Android smartphone using wireless Bluetooth. Once you have the tablet, the only thing you need to do is get the QPair app from LG which is free. If your phone is receiving a call, you will be able to see the caller id on your tablet and you can either accept or reject the call. You can even write a text telling them to call you later. The only downside however is that you will be able to send only one reply back from the tablet and you cannot initiate a text either. Despite this shortcoming, it is quite a convenient feature when you do not want to get to your phone or stop doing what you are doing. It also takes out the hassle of always lagging both devices around the house or office.

The iPad also has a similar feature that lets you send text messages. The difference with theirs is that you can only send the texts to someone else who owns an Apple device via their Messages App. To make the LG an even better option in this area, the iPad does not let you know that you have an incoming call. What you will basically be getting from this G Pad feature is pretty much what the smartwatch from Samsung Galaxy gear is aiming for but on a much larger screen.

The LG G Pad 8.3 is almost there, but for the price and the array of options available for another Android tablet, it still has a way to go.
