Britney Spears may be promoting her upcoming album "Britney Jean," but the singer took the time to be grilled by Ellen Degeneres on new boyfriend David Lucado.

"I met him at a party," said Britney Spears on meeting boyfriend David Lucado. "My friends brought me up to him."

Although new boyfriend David Lucado is not in the business, Britney Spears described their chemistry as "instant."

"He's very passionate and he's funny. He's sexy, and…I don't know, I like him. I just…I love him!"

In addition to gushing about boyfriend David Lucado, Britney Spears also took the time to discuss her new album "Britney Jean."

"My family…really, when I was bad, I would always be called Britney Jean. That was like a term of endearment, so I wanted to share that with my fans," added Spears during her Ellen Degeneres interview.

Britney proclaims "Britney Jean" as her most personal album yet, citing her breakup with Jason Trawick as a source of inspiration.

"I think it's healthy. I think if you're ready to share that with the world, personal things like that, I think it's very therapeutic and good for you."

"I think it will make girls not feel alone in this situation," said Britney Spears according to the Huffington Post.

"When they're alone in their room and they broke up with their boyfriend, they have a song they can go to and listen to, just makes them feel better about themselves."

But with a new boyfriend in David Lucado, Britney Spears may have mended her broken heart.
