Legend Of Korra Downsizing Crew By December 2014 As Book 3 And 4 Production Continues: Avatar Sound Designer To Release Music

As "The Legend of Korra" continues production for Book 3 and Book 4, 2014 will likely be the final year its wonderful crew remains together as a whole.

Recently, "The Legend of Korra" crew celebrated the New Year and co-creator Bryan Konietzko posted a wonderful Tumblr post with photos of its large crew.

"Happy New Year, everyone! Here are some photos I took of the Korra crew from our various festivities last month, including someone’s birthday, a white elephant gift exchange, and our traditional year-end bowling party––sadly our last one, as we’ll be down to a skeleton crew by December 2014," wrote Konietzko.

"I am enjoying the company of these great folks between all the work, while it lasts."

As fans know, "The Legend of Korra" will end after Book 3 and Book 4, and currently, production is well on its way for Book 3. Thus, it would appear that by the end of 2014, the work will mostly be completed and much of the crew will disband.

"Big thanks to the amazing Korra crew," added co-creator Michael DiMartino.

Meanwhile, the sound designer for "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and "The Legend of Korra" will reportedly release music of his own sometime in the near future.

"Deru is the recording name of Benjamin Wynn, the sound designer on 'Avatar' and 'Korra,' and one half of the Track Team. I am lucky to count him as a close, old friend, but I’m also a big fan of his music. He has an incredible, unique, long-awaited release coming up soon and I am STOKED," wrote Konietzko.

"I’m not sure how much info he has put out there about it yet, so I’ll wait to re-post something directly from him when the time comes."

Are you sad the beginning of the end for "The Legend of Korra" is coming closer?
