With the creators of the highly anticipated movie keeping all the details still under wraps, a new rumor has emerged linking "Breaking Bad" star Jesse Plemons to the film.

It has been a while since an update is released, probably because everyone in the movie production are busy with all the rewrites going on and the movie about to start filming this year.

Big names like "Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence and "Star Trek" star Benedict Cumberbatch has also been linked to the film, but apparently those were just baseless rumors and are most likely not true.

The Wrap reported that three of their sources have confirmed that the Dallas-born actor is currently the favorite among those who auditioned for the film. "Plemons is scheduled to meet with director J.J. Abrams next week to discuss the highly anticipated sequel, which is expected to bring back original stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford. Plemons has already taped an audition that was well-received by those involved in the casting process, and he'll by flying in to Los Angeles from Austin, Texas for a second audition that will bring him face-to-face with Abrams," the publication said.

Jesse Plemons is often compared to hunky star Matt Damon with their similar physique and looks, however he has proven that he has got what it takes to become the next big star in Hollywood.

The 25-year old actor who also starred in the surprisingly hit movie "Battleship" on 2012, has also appeared in two of the best TV shows for the last decade.

Jesse Plemons stared for over five seasons of "Friday Night Lights" playing the role of a witty nerd football player who ended up with the sizzling hot cheerleader, Landry Clake.

He played the sociopathic Todd on the recently concluded controversial and hit TV series "Breaking Bad."
