'Sons of Anarchy' Season 7 Spoiler: Drea de Mattteo is being bumped up in the cast of "Sons of Anarchy" from recurring character to full-time cast member.

Drea de Matteo will reprise her Wendy Pane character on "Sons of Anarchy" as a series regular.

After the shocking deaths of Clay (Ron Perlman) and Tara (Maggie Siff) last season, Wendy is staging a comeback in Jax's world as Drea de Matteo is being bumped up on "Sons of Anarchy" to a regular cast member. Get ready to see a lot more of Wendy Case, "Sons of Anarchy" is just starting its last season. Drea de Matteo, the former Adriana on The Sopranos, has been a featured guest for years on the motorcycle gang drama, but she's more than a biker babe.

Wendy Case, the character Drea de Matteo plays on "Sons of Anarchy" is going to get more screen time, now that so many cast regulars have been whacked. The Sopranos alum is moving up just in time for the series to get whacked. "Sons of Anarchy" is in it seventh and final season.

Drea De Matteo played Wendy Case, a junkie mother who used to be married to Jax, played by Charlie Hunnam. De Matteo has been on and off the show since the first season. Jax's other lover, Tara, played by Maggie Siff, died on Sons of Anarchy's Season 6 finale, opening up space on the back of the bike for De Matteo.

Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter previewed said Tara's death will have big repercussions on Jax and the show.  He said "I wanted to remove [Jax's] 'True North,' because I feel like there needs to be this major psychic and emotional shift that has to happen. What direction it will push him in we will see next season,". "But what happens to a guy like that now that he's lost both of the people he loves the most, who were able to be his moral compass, with Opie and now Tara. It really is Jax completely untethered and on his own in the final season."

In 1999, Drea De Matteo won an Emmy Award for her work on the long running HBO gangster series "The Sopranos."  Drea de Matteo also had recurring roles on "Desperate Housewives" and "Joey." She recently made a guest appearance on "The Mindy Project."
