Disney Hit ‘Frozen’ Joins Broadway Club; Will It Be As Successful As ‘Lion King’, ‘Beauty And The Beast’, And ‘Aladdin’?

The success of Disney's 'Frozen' does not end in cinemas for it has been recentky chosen to join Broadway's prestigious list of shows. According to Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger, the animated film will indeed be recreated into a play. Disney Theatrical Productions is similarly ecstatic to start such venture.

 Apart from Disney's 'Frozen', other films which headed to Broadway were 'Lion King', 'The Little Mermaid', 'Aladdin', and 'Beauty and the Beast.' Disney's 'Frozen' has grossed $669 million though such earnings are expected to rise when it hits China and Japan.

 With the triumph of Disney's 'Frozen', specialists predict that the flick will be deemed as one of the company's major income-generating franchises. This means that toys and theme parks bearing the movie's characters may soon come out.

Tony award recipient Robert Lopez as well as his wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez will have their works featured on the upcoming Broadway version of 'Frozen'. Hits such as as 'Let It Go', 'Love is an Open Door', and 'Do You Want to Build a Snowman?' will be included in the musical.
