Sacramento Kings DeMarcus Cousins Calls Chris Paul A Cheater; Teammate Isiah Thomas Says It Was Cousins Just Being Competitive

Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins have had major run ins with the coaching staff. In fact, in December 2012, he was suspended indefinitely by the team for "unprofessional behavior and conduct detrimental to the team."

The 23-year old player can manage to speak out against his seniors, this is why it is not surprising if he get into feuds with players from other teams.

In ESPN's Grantland write up about the 6'11 baller from the University Kentucky, Jonathan Abrams revealed that Los Angeles Clippers all-star point guard Chris Paul is the NBA player that Cousins despise the most. He even called the two-time Olympic team member a cheater.

"It's just, some players I don't respect," Cousins said. "Just their playing style of basketball. I don't respect it. I feel like it's basically cheating and I don't respect a cheater. If that's your tactic to winning, I don't respect you."

Paul and Cousins has a history of trash talkings in the past. Once, CP3 said that the Kings center needs a guidance after the latter foiled a handshake between Paul and Kings point guard Isiah Thomas.

"He's young, man," Paul said of Cousins during a televised postgame interview on Fox Sports West. "He don't know no better. He needs some guidance. It is what it is."

However, for his teammate Thomas, Cousins is just being misunderstood.

"It was [him being competitive]," Thomas said. "At the same time, I told him, 'Everyone looks at everything that you do. So they may take it a different way than what you were trying to do. You're mad we lost. You don't want to shake hands with them, but you didn't have to pull me away to make it something that it wasn't. You made everyone say, "Oh, he's a bad guy because he doesn't want to shake hands."' Everybody doesn't shake hands after games anyways. But they single him out because of how he did it."

This is an interesting development between Cousins and Paul. The basketball community is a small world and in fact, they might become teammates soon as both were invited for the 2014-2016 US National Basketball team. Let's see if they pass the ball to each other once that happens.
