Now, the first major update of Windows 8.1 is currently under development and will be launched on March 11, ahead of Microsoft Developer's event. According to ZDNet, the update would provide some major improvements especiall regarding performance even among low-end devices.

In addition, there will also be better RAM management for better multi-tasking abilities. A redesigned Start menu is also pegged to make a triumphant comeback to the operating system.

Other reports also claim that the Windows 8.1 update would enable users to place tiles on their homescreen's taskbar, which brings something new to the table.
