The "Believe" TV show premiere date is this spring, and JJ Abrams and director of "Gravity," Alfonso Cuaron, are the masterminds behind this new fantasy/supernatural drama on NBC. JJ Abrams praises the pilot, and teases us on what we can expect for the "Believe" TV show.

Abrams discussed "Believe" during the TV show's winter Television Critics Association press tour session, saying that the series, which will be directed by Jonas Pate, is "a continuum from this extraordinary pilot" directed by Alfonso Cuaron.

The "Believe" premiere date is on March 10 at 10pm, beore it moves to its regular day and time on Sunday, March 16 at 9pm.

According to Zap2it.com, "Believe" will attempt to capture Alfonso Cuaron's style, despite the fact that he won't be directing every episode.

"At the end of the day, it's not only about the cinematic approach. It's the emotional core of the show," Cuaron said. "I think that what is really, really the core of the show is the emotional one. Pretty much it's a story of the family."

Cuaron directed the pilot episode, and Jonas Pate has taken over for episode 2. Pate admitted to reporters at the TCA 2014 winter press tour that it is a lot of pressure to follow in Cuaron's footsteps, Zap2it.com reports.

"I wasn't happy about that," he joked.

JJ Abrams also revealed how he teamed up with Cuaron, who snagged an Oscar nomination for "Gravity."

"Over 20 years ago, I met Alfonso Cuaron and I wanted to work with him desperately ever since. I was a huge fan of the movies he made," Abrams said. "It wasn't until Alfonso -- through some magical moment who called saying, 'I have an idea for a TV show' -- and when he pitched the idea, I felt like I had to see that on television. It was an opportunity that was too great, too exciting to pass up."

According to TVGuide.com, "Believe": "follows a young girl with special powers and the ex-convict sent to protect her as they run from a secret cabal trying to capture her and poke her with probes."
